My First All Natural Winter
Black Friday Sale!!!!
Nothing brings a smile to my face like the joy of a new purchase. I just purchased BOGO Free from Miss Jessie's website missjessies.com. I purchased MJ's Curly Buttercreme (8 oz. @ $32) and the Curly Pudding (8 oz. @ FREE)...lol, with shipping it came up to $39.89. I've been doing research for months on how other customers have not only used Miss Jessie's products but their results. I've heard rave reviews for the most part with the few exception but I've decided to take that leap of faith to find what works for my crown. On a normal basis the Buttercreme is $32 and the Curly Pudding is $22, with out the sale the subtotal is already $54, so this sale is truly a sale. Since it ends on 12/31 it gives me time to give the products a chance and perhaps purchase them as gifts for my loved ones.
As soon as they come in, i'll be able to give my take on the awesome duo's products. Have you yourself used MJ products and if so what were your results? I would love to know, send pics or youtube links if you have any. Until next time
Madame Mix-a-lot...lol
Hello All!
It's been quite a busy time for me making my posts fewer and farther apart. Yet that's all changed now! Why? The impending season is driving me crazy! This is my first winter natural and my baby is feeling the cold. About 2 weeks ago i finally whipped up my unrefined Shea Butter, which i purchased from Coastalscents.com and i absolutely love it. I whipped it with EVOO, Jojoba Oil, Coconut Oil, and a dash of Vitamin E oil. It has done wonders to my fall routine because i wasn't pulling out a bunch of products. Doing co-washes about twice a week and using my whipped concoction for moisture and shine has been good for my hair.
Yet in the last week my baby (hair) just doesn't seem to stay as moist as long as normal. I haven't chosen a protective style as yet so i guess the air is taking a toll on my baby. So I' ve been doing some research ( Youtube...lol) to find tips for creating a Winter hair care routine for my particular tresses. So I pose the question to you the reader, what is your Winter Hair Care Routine and how has it aided in keeping your hair moist, shiny, and healthy? This way my next whipped shea butter mix will be my winter recipe. Also any other suggestions, tips, or sites that continue to or have have helped you narrow down your own Winter hair care routine.
I look forward to all your suggestions, tips, and opinions!
A la prochaine!
My Growing Crown
A few photos of the progress has made of late. My fro is getting rounder and bigger...lol
Fall is here
The morning chill is refreshing to the soul and the afternoon heat a reminder of summer days gone....i love fall. I love the colors, the mood, the vibe and most of all....the coming adjustments to my hair routine. It's almost a year since last my strands have danced with the creamy seducer and I'm very proud. I am liberated anew with the coming season. I hope readers have been intrigued to say the least with my posts and i welcome constructive input or suggestions and i continue my natural journey.
With that said, I pose this question to you, the reader: How do you adjust your hair routine for the fall/winter months? I've noticed that my hair seems noticeably drier...that and i don't as much time as i used to, to give my baby some loving tlc. So i ask what can i do to keep the moisture in my hair during the fall's azure mood? Any styles that you personally like to keep your hair in that you think will benefit my strands? Let me know, I welcome the feedback!
